Join Us as Treasurer and Make a Meaningful Impact!
We are looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Directors at Stepping Out, a small not-for-profit with DGR status which has been supporting female survivors of childhood sexual abuse since 1986 through programs, advocacy and referrals.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee financial management and budgeting
- Ensure transparency and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with a passionate team to drive our mission forward
- Play a key role in fundraising and strategic planning
- Capacity to commit to 5-10 hours/month and 6-10 board meetings per year in Marrickville.
- Volunteer position.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in finance, accounting, and non-profit governance experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to our mission to support female survivors of childhood sexual abuse
- Interpersonal skills in a board setting

Our Trauma-informed recovery programs
Stepping Out provides safe, evidence-informed recovery programs for women survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Our trauma-informed groups combine peer connection, specialist knowledge and practical tools to help women better understand the impacts of trauma, build skills for recovery and feel less alone.
To ensure safety and equitable access, all survivor programs are free of charge and available both in-person and online.
