Understanding and Managing the Impacts of Childhood Sexual Abuse
Stepping Out is running FREE eight-week comprehensive program covers trauma theory, attachment styles, relationships, boundaries and self-care.
Delivered both in-person and online, groups are psychoeducational with the added benefit of peer support so that survivors feel heard, validated and less alone.
Facilitated by specialist CSA counsellors, debriefing is offered after each workshop. To avoid triggering trauma, this group is not recommended for women in current crisis and we focus on impacts of CSA, rather than the incident.
Workshops are psychoeducational with peer support, facilitated by specialise counsellors in a safe space where survivors feel heard, validated and less alone.
“I have never had my feelings about CSA or incest validated, never been shown such compassion and concern for my wellbeing that it made me feel less alone. I didn’t know that’s all I needed. I feel I can move on with my life, knowing there is a community of people who understand me and my experiences. I feel far less shame than I used to.”
