About Stepping Out
The Stepping Out Housing Program is a specialist agency that provides valuable services to women through support, advocacy and therapeutic modalities. Stepping Out is a non-profit community based organisation run by women for women, with or without children, who are survivors of childhood sexual assault. We provide supported, transitional accommodation for 6-12 months with holistic, strength-based case management and group programs.
Mission of the Event
Our goal is to build a well-resourced and capable organisation that is recognised and respected as a leader in providing quality services for survivors of childhood sexual assault. The introduction of the inaugural “Women Making a Difference” fundraiser Luncheon is an opportunity to grow our financial ability to continuously fund our educational programs and open up greater opportunities for our clients through programs such as - work place development and mentoring, developing greater interpersonal skills and creating healthy and balanced lifestyle habits that builds on making healthy choices.
Guest Speaker - Libby Lloyd AM
Libby Lloyd has been Chair of the Australian Commonwealth’s Violence against Women Advisory Group (VAWAG) (2009-2011) and is currently a member of its successor, the National Plan Implementation Panel (2012).
Guest Speaker - Ronni Kahn (Founder and CEO OzHarvest)
OzHarvest was founded in November 2004 when events organiser, Ronni Kahn wanted to make a significant contribution to society.
